Dante Exum agreed to a three-year, $33 million extension with the Jazz, ESPN reported Wednesday, citing league sources.

The restricted free agent spent the past four seasons with Utah, but missed the entire 2015-16 season with a torn ACL and dealt with shoulder surgery that cost him most of last season.

However, the new deal reflects the Jazz's confidence in selecting him fifth overall in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Exum, 22, averaged eight points in 14 games last season after returning from shoulder surgery.

The Jazz also re-signed unrestricted free agent Derrick Favors on a two-year, $36 million deal Monday.
