The 2018 NBA free agent class is loaded, and All-Star weekend was essentially a recruiting trip for the Lakers and Clippers, as LeBron James, Paul George and other visited Staples Center.

Fans in the arena chanted, “We want Paul,” during his media session over the weekend, prompting the Thunder forward to address the elephant in the room.

"It feels good to be welcome. I think anybody would want to be wanted and be welcomed,'' he said."I know what I feel is best, but it's a long way until the end of the season.''

Though George is enjoying an incredible season in Oklahoma City, he’s not the biggest fish, as rumors continue to fly around James and another potential Cleveland exit.

After winning the MVP in the All-Star Game, James was asked what would stand out most to him about the weekend.

“I think L.A. is a perfect place to host All-Star Weekend,” James said. “It’s built for stars. It’s built for entertainment. It’s built for camera and bright lights, and it’s a great place for it.

“I hope everybody had a great weekend. I know I did. I know my family did. So it was a great weekend.”

Expect the Lakers and Clippers to remind James about this weekend once he hits the open market this summer.
