Mercurial five-star 7-footer Mitchell Robinson's on-again, off-again — and on-again — relationship with college basketball is off again, presumably for the last time.

Robinson left Western Kentucky's campus earlier this week and plans to train in Dallas in preparation for the 2018 NBA Draft, Scout.com reported.

“I just want to get better and just grow as a person,” Robinson said.

His decision, which presumably closes the door for good on a collegiate career, comes three weeks after he re-enrolled at Western Kentucky, with whom he signed out of Chalmette, La., but left after a few weeks of summer school. After considering other college options, he returned to Western Kentucky this fall, only to backtrack again this week.

He's likely to be picked in the first round in 2018 if only as a rim-protecting defender, but he's projected to go after fellow 7-footers Mo Bamba, DeAndre Ayton and Brandon McCoy, as well as other more skilled big men such as Michael Porter, Marvin Bagley and Jaren Jackson Jr.

A McDonald's and Jordan Brand All-American, Robinson was the top-rated center and No. 9 overall prospect in the 2017 recruiting class, according to 247Sports' composite rankings.
