Miles Bridges entered Friday's game coasting through his sophomore season below expectations, but he came to play against Indiana.

Bridges' recent shooting slump was a big factor in Michigan State's three-game streak of questionable results. After loses to Ohio State and Michigan, and an ugly home overtime win against Rutgers, the Spartans got back on track Friday with an 85-57 win over Indiana.

The Hoosiers entered the game riding a three-game winning streak, but Bridges scored 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting to end their run. Bridges also added three rebounds and laid down a couple massive dunks.

Spartans center Nick Ward added 18 points and 13 rebounds. Matt McQuaid had 11 points off the bench, and Jaren Jackson Jr. and Cassius Winston added 10 points apiece.

Michigan State (16-3) spent some time ranked No. 1 in the nation this season, but a poor stretch knocked them back to ninth. The Spartans likely have enough firepower to make a Final Four run, but Tom Izzo needs to help them gain more consistency.

"I think we played with a lot more energy," Izzo told Fox Sports. "The energy level was high enough that we masked some mistakes. We took a big step forward and Miles had a lot to do with that."
