Hornets chairman Michael Jordan has pledged $2 million to organizations and charities helping with disaster relief after Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas over the weekend.

According to the Hornets' website, Jordan is donating $1 million to the American Red Cross and another $1 million to the Foundation For The Carolinas’ Hurricane Florence Response Fund.

The Hornets will also send 100 members to partner with Food Lion this Friday to make meal boxes for those in Wilmington N.C., Fayetteville, N.C., and Myrtle Beach, S.C., who have been severely affected.

The team and the NBA will also create special Hornets T-shirts with the logo "Carolina Strong" on it. All of the net proceedings from the shirts bought will go to the Foundation For The Carolinas’ Hurricane Florence Response Fund.
