Malcolm Brogdon will not be on the floor Monday.

The 26-year-old guard “continues to make progress” in his recovery from a foot injury, coach Mike Budenholzer told reporters. But, he remains out for the Bucks’ Game 4 matchup against the Celtics in Boston.

Brogdon has played in five-on-five scrimmages three times so far during his rehab, Budenholzer said.

"I think he's getting close," Budenholzer said, via ESPN.

Brogdon suffered a plantar fascia tear in his right foot in mid-March. He was originally expected to miss six to eight weeks and has yet to play in the postseason.

“The injury is minor,” Brogdon said in early April. “I’ll come back and be full speed. The team is better this year, so they can hold it down while I’m gone. I just want to get back in time so when we play a tough opponent I can help in the playoffs.”

Brogdon averaged 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 28.6 minutes per game during the regular season. He shot 50.5% from the field and 42.6% from 3-point range.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo said last week Brogdon will help the team “a lot” whenever he makes his return.

"I had a chance to talk a little with Malcolm,” Antetokounmpo said, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “(I) told him 'Make sure you're 100%. Do not come in when you're not ready. We definitely need you. We need you every second out there. If you can come back right now, come right now. But if you need to take a little time to be 100%, take it.'

"With Malcolm out there, we're a totally different team. Having Malcolm out there, we just have a lot of threats out there. It definitely will take this team to the next level."

The top-seeded Bucks dropped Game 1 but have bounced back with two straight victories over Boston.

Game 4 between Milwaukee and Boston will tip off Monday at 7 p.m. ET.
