Lonzo Ball has already missed eight games with a sprained MCL he suffered in a game against the Mavericks Jan. 13, but he apparently will miss at least two more.

Lakers coach Luke Walton told reporters Thursday he does not plan to play the rookie guard until the team returns from its current five-game road trip. They have two more games on the road before returning home Feb. 6 against the Suns.

"Today was our last real practice," Walton told reporters, via the LA Times. "Saturday will be a shootaround and he will not play before he practices, so he is out until at least we get home."

With Ball out of the lineup, the Lakers are 4-4 in their last eight games.

The 20-year-old guard has now missed 14 games this season with various injuries. He is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 assists and 7.1 rebounds in 36 games played.
