Apparently LeBron James is having trouble getting players to join him in the real world as well as the cartoon one.
The four-time MVP has yet to be joined on the Lakers by another star player in a trade or in free agency, and according to ESPN, he's having issues getting people to star in his new movie Space Jam 2.
"In all honesty, he's been recruiting players to come and try to be in Space Jam with him this summer and he hasn't been able to close some of those deals," Brian Windhorst said on ESPN's The Jump on Thursday.

Windhorst would not elaborate on which players he wants to join him, but if the original Space Jam is any indication, some of these guys would be All-Stars as Charles Barkley, Larry Johnson and Patrick Ewing were all named to All-Star teams and starred in the original movie.
In fairness to James, the holdup seems to be more about money than anything to do with the King.
According to Hoops Hype, the pay for the role simply might not be enough to entice top players in the NBA.

Space Jam 2 is set to premiere on July 16, 2021. The movie will be produced by Ryan Coogler, who directed 2018 smash hit Black Panther and heralded 2013 Cannes Film Festival movie Fruitvale Station.
