LeBron James' availability still isn't guaranteed for Tuesday's NBA opener.

The Cavaliers star remains listed as questionable with an ankle injury ahead of the team's season-opening matchup against the Celtics.

James has been dealing with a sprained left ankle he suffered during training camp and later tweaked again while playing in the Cavs' preseason game against the Bulls. Despite missing the team's preseason finale against the Magic, he participated in shootaround Tuesday morning in Cleveland.

James hasn't missed an opener in his last 14 NBA seasons and the 32-year-old isn't likely going to start this season on the bench, especially given the team's opponent.

Not only will it be a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference finals (and possibly a preview of this season’s), Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving will return to Cleveland and face off with James for the first time since being traded by the Cavs this offseason.
