It was a good news, bad news day Tuesday for Lakers guard Josh Hart.

Hart was named Most Valuable Player of NBA Summer League 2018, the league announced.

But then Hart went out and scored only 12 points on 3-for-12 shooting before being ejected as the Lakers lost to the Trail Blazers, 91-73, in the NBA Summer League championship in Las Vegas.

Hart, a 6-5 guard drafted 30th overall by the Jazz and then traded to the Lakers, averaged 22.4 points (on 45.0 percent shooting), 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals in seven games as the Lakers went 6-1 to cap the Summer League's 82-game, 12-day event showcasing all 30 NBA teams.

Joining Hart on the first-team All-NBA Summer League also announced Tuesday were Bulls forward Wendell Carter Jr., Knicks forward Kevin Knox, Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton and Bucks center Christian Wood.

A media panel selected Hart as MVP and voted for the All-NBA Summer League teams.
