Andre Ingram wasn't a well-known name in the NBA a week ago, but after the 10-year veteran of the G League made his NBA debut with the Lakers, he took the sports world by storm.

His impressive performance drew the attention of Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul , but it didn't stop there. Ingram, 32, was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch Friday at Dodger Stadium before the Dodgers' played the Diamondbacks.

Ingram was joined on the field by his wife, Marilee, and two daughters as he tossed a high strike to Dodgers backup catcher Kyle Farmer.

Ingram shared his appreciation on Twitter.

Ingram went undrafted in 2007 and had spent his entire career in the G League until he was signed this week by the Lakers, making his first appearance in a 105-99 loss to the Rockets at Staples Center where he scored 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
