Kyrie Irving suffered a scratched cornea in Monday's loss to the Spurs.

The Celtics guard and Spurs guard Marco Belinelli were fighting for a rebound in the fourth quarter when Belinelli accidentally hit Irving in the eye. Irving went down on the court briefly in pain, left the game but returned to action a few minutes later.

Afterward, Irving addressed the media wearing sunglasses. He said he got hit in both eyes.

I'm wearing sunglasses, so not too good," Irving said, in addressing his condition. "I'll be all right, though. [Belinelli] smacked the s--- out of me. He just caught me pretty good."

Boston coach Brad Stevens isn't sure if Irving will miss any playing time.

"Kyrie has a scratched eye," Stevens said. "So he'll have antibiotics for that. I don't know what that means beyond tonight."

Irving finished with 16 points and eight assists in the 120-111 loss.
