Kristaps Porzingis was involved in a fight at a club in Latvia over the weekend, which left his face bloody, according to TMZ Sports.

Porzingis was in his hometown of Liepaja and was seen visiting various clubs and pubs in celebration of an occasion. Per the report, the Mavericks star was confronted by a group of Russians at one of these clubs over him "switching" NBA teams.

The altercation became violent, with the group of men reportedly attacking Porzingis. He was seen outside the club later with a bloody face.

According to The Athletic, the Mavericks are aware of the situation and have launched an investigation into what happened. Dallas reportedly has been told that Porzingis was jumped and hit with objects in the alleged assault.

The Mavericks acquired the 23-year-old forward, along with three other players, from the Knicks in February in exchange for a package centered around Dennis Smith Jr. as well as the expiring contracts of DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Matthews.

However, Porzingis has yet to play with Dallas, since he is recovering from a torn ACL.

Since the trade, Porzingis has become the center of a sexual assault accusation, where a New York woman accused him of an "extremely aggressive encounter" at his penthouse in February 2018, but said afterward he was "very apologetic, loving and caring."

She later tried to litigate a settlement of $68,000 from Porzingis and the Knicks starting in October, with her legal team contacting the Knicks.

The Knicks ended correspondence with the woman in November and last wrote to her that they "decided to retain counsel to represent him and they will be in touch with you shortly. The New York Knicks will not have any further involvement on Kristaps' behalf."

Porzingis and his legal team have denied these allegations.
