TNT analyst Kenny Smith is the latest name to be added to the Knicks' head coaching search.

According to a report from ESPN, Smith will interview as New York searches to replace Jeff Hornacek, who was fired from his coaching duties last week.

Smith has never coached in the NBA, but played with six NBA teams from 1987-97.

ESPN reported earlier this week that the Knicks already have plans to meet with four other candidates over the next two weeks. Among those on the list are David Fizdale, Mark Jackson, Jerry Stackhouse and David Blatt.

While those candidates are expected, another possible replacement that has emerged is Mike Woodson, who is former head coach of the Knicks and current assistant for the Clippers. The report also notes that New York received permission to talk to Woodson about the vacancy.

Woodson was fired by the Knicks in 2014 after leading the franchise for two seasons, but isn't expected to be a top candidate. However, he has already expressed interest in the position.

The Knicks have not had a winning season since 2012-13 when they went they went 54-28 under Woodson.
