The Knicks search for a new head coach has extended to Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson, according to the New York Daily News.

The report states that New York has already reached out to Van Gundy and Jackson in addition to former Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale and Jerry Stackhouse, a former Pistons star who coached Toronto's G-League affiliate.

Van Gundy, who currently works as a commentator for ESPN, previously coached the Knicks from 1996-2001. He also coached the Rockets from 2003 to 2007.

Jackson, who works alongside Van Gundy on ESPN broadcasts, coached the Warriors from 2011-2014. He also played point guard for the Knicks and is considered popular among New York fans.

The Knicks have not had a winning season since 2012-13 when they went they went 54-28 under Mike Woodson.
