Kevin Durant will enter the free-agent market this offseason but likely won't be available for long.

The Warriors forward intends to decline his player option for the 2018-19 season and become an unrestricted free agent, ESPN reported, citing unidentified league sources.

However, he will refuse his $26.2 million option so he can restructure a new contract with Golden State.

Durant had re-signed with the Warriors at a discount last summer, signing a two-year deal worth $51 million to allow the team to re-sign players such as Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

Durant, 29, has averaged 26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest in 68 games this season. The reigning NBA Finals MVP won his first title with Warriors last year.

The Warriors — the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, 7 1/2 games back of the top-seeded Rockets — will open the playoffs this weekend against the seventh-seeded Thunder.
