Unfortunately, we won’t see Kevin Durant on the basketball court next season. So a few glimpses into his life through social media will have to do.

Late Thursday, Durant gave everyone a peek behind the curtain into his rehab from a ruptured Achilles, posting several pictures on Instagram that show the newest Nets superstar getting around with a hefty boot on his right leg and enjoying some low-impact hoops action in the pool.

Durant’s health status will be a constant talking point throughout the 2019-20 season as the Nets embark on their most-anticipated era of basketball in Brooklyn.

Like Durant, Al-Star point guard Kyrie Irving also signed a four-year max contract with Brooklyn and will serve as the team's unquestioned top option while Durant rehabs.

Nets general manager Sean Marks told WFAN  on Tuesday he’s giddy about what his team could look like once Durant is healthy.

"I'm not going to lie, there's been a couple of times I'm definitely excited about — Kevin for sure, the whole group and really the challenge of getting all these guys together on the same page and watching how it unfolds," Marks said. "I think that's the magic and that's the real special piece where you see elite talent ... want to play together and see who's going to sacrifice what and who's going to bring what to the table and just see how they all mesh."

For now, however, the Nets front office and NBA fans alike simply hope Durant continues to recover and returns as one of the top players in the world.
