Kawhi Leonard could be nearing his return.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich on Monday said he'll speak to the star forward Tuesday and evaluate his potential comeback to the court.

"I'll see Kawhi tomorrow and we'll see how he's feeling and see how ready he is and see how ready I think he is, and we will go from there," Popovich said, via My San Antonio.

While there is no firm date for Leonard's return, unidentified sources indicate he could play Tuesday against the Magic or Thursday against the Pelicans.

Leonard, 26, has played in just nine games this season while dealing with quad injuries and has been sidelined since Jan. 13. He was averaging 16.2 points per game.

The Spurs (37-30) have been on a downward spiral, dropping 11 of their past 14 games. The team fell to 10th in the Western Conference following Monday's loss to the Rockets.
