Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas had surgery on his thumb Thursday at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, Calif., and he's expected to miss at least four weeks as he recovers, the team announced Thursday.

Valanciunas dislocated his left thumb during the second quarter of the Raptors' 113-93 victory over the Warriors on Wednesday after Draymond Green attempted to steal the ball. The surgery was to repair damage caused after his thumb was relocated.

The Raptors announced Valanciunas will wear a cast for four weeks and then will be re-evaluated.

The 26-year-old big man is averaging 12.8 points, 7.2 rebounds on 57.5 percent shooting from the field in 30 games (10 starts) this season. He has led the team in rebounding 11 times, and recorded five double-doubles.

In a corresponding move, Toronto called up forward Chris Boucher from the G League before Friday's game against the Trail Blazers.
