John Wall may be a five-time all-star, but he understands the importance of a college education.

The Wizards point guard revealed during the All-Star Break that he plans to return to the University of Kentucky to finish school.

"I'm going back to school this summer to get my business degree," Wall said, via The Washington Post. "That's what I’m focusing on. I promised my dad that."

Wall's father died from liver cancer when he was eight, and though Wall did go to Kentucky, he was a one-and-done player who entered the NBA draft after his freshman year.

Wall said he isn't sure what he will do with his business degree, but knows there will be a life after basketball and that he wants to be productive.

"When our career is over, when we retire and the basketball stops bouncing, we still have the find something else to do," Wall said.

He also indicated he wants to be an activist, especially after Fox News talk show host Laura Ingraham criticized LeBron James for his political stance, telling him to "shut up and dribble."

"Whether you want to be a general manager, a doctor, a businessman, whatever, you have to believe on everything you stand on," Wall said. "We're more than athletes and the stuff that's going on in our society and in this world, we have to speak on it. I think we have the right to say whatever we want."
