Jimmy Butler is on the mend.

The Timberwolves guard underwent an elective right hand procedure on Tuesday, the team announced.

Everything went fine and Butler has already resumed offseason activities, the team said. It's been an interesting few months for the four-time All-Star since the season ended.

In early July, Butler turned down a 4-year, $110 million extension offer from the Timberwolves, sparking speculation his time in Minnesota may be coming to an end.

Then, there was a report by Chicago-Sun Times which said Butler "has been frustrated with the nonchalant attitudes of younger teammates — specifically Karl-Anthony Towns." This could indicate he would not sign an extension with the team.

Butler averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 2017-18.
