The Rockets are looking to add a backup center.
Houston is targeting veteran Tyson Chandler, according to a report from ESPN, which cites an unidentified league source.

The 36-year-old began last season with the Suns before he joined the Lakers after receiving a buyout in November. He averaged 3.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 55 total games in 2018-19.
Chandler continues to be a valuable defender and can protect the rim. He won a championship with the Mavericks in 2010-11.
The Rockets’ top target this summer was reportedly Jimmy Butler. But, they missed out on the wing as the Heat landed him in a sign-and-trade with the 76ers. Houston was also reportedly hoping to add JaVale McGee, however, he re-signed with the Lakers last weekend.
Houston will explore acquiring Andre Iguodala from the Grizzlies, as well, according to multiple reports.
The Rockets, led by star James Harden, finished 2018-19 with a 53-29 record but fell to the Warriors in six games in the Western Conference semifinals. Golden State has eliminated Houston from the playoffs in two straight years.
"I can promise you, we're going to win some championships with James Harden, because we are not going to sit here,” Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta told reporters in May. “We will go to battle every year. We're going to have a strong offseason, and we're going to do whatever we can to be a better team. We are not going to sit on our hands, I can promise you that."
The Rockets have also re-signed Gerald Green, Danuel House and Austin Rivers.
