Grant rescues Neptunas' 100 per cent record

Jerai Grant rescued Neptunas Klaipeda's 100 per cent record in the Basketball Champions League with a brilliant fourth-quarter display securing a 68-63 victory over PAOK.

The Lithuanian side trailed by seven points at the start of the final period, but 10 points from Grant swung the match in their favour for a fifth straight triumph.

Neptunas remain top of Group C and joined Besiktas Sompo Japan as the only two teams yet to lose in the campaign.

Le Mans Sarthe have control of Group B following a 79-66 victory over Pinar Karsiyaka, but Avtodor SaratovĀ kept pace with a 98-74 thumping of Maccabi Rand Media.

CSM CSU Oradea bounced back from defeat against Le Mans last time out to overcome Khimik, while Umana Reyer Venezia thrashed Kataja Basket 92-68 in Group B's other fixture.

Iberostar Tenerife suffered their second straight defeat, going down 66-62 to Telenet Oostende, with SIG Strasbourg drawing level with the Spaniards in Group D following a 68-59 win against Mega Leks.

Openjobmetis Varese suffered a fourth straight defeat at the hands of Rosa Radom, while EWE Baskets dispatched of struggling Muratbey Usak Sportif 65-60.

MHP RIESEN Ludwgsburg tightened things up at the top of Group E by beating AEKĀ 72-67, with just two points separating the pool's leading four.
