Nearly 10 years after Javaris Crittenton pulled a loaded gun on Gilbert Arenas in the Wizards locker room, Arenas has given more details into what happened.

Arenas said the 2009 dispute began on the team plane during a game of Bourré, a card game similar to Spades, not over a bet like former teammate Caron Butler said.

He told The Action Network he joined the game with Crittenton and Javale McGee and upped the bet from $1,100 to $2,200. Crittenton was upset he had lost several games in a row, and when he lost again, he blew up at McGee.

“The plane lands and now Javaris says to JaVale, ‘So you just gonna let me lose my money like that? You ain’t even gonna be a real n—- and give me a chance to get my money back? Aw hell naw, this is the type of s— that gets you f—ed up in these streets,’" Arenas recalled.

"I was like, ‘Javaris, I will burn your car, while you’re in it. Then we’ll find an extinguisher to help ya ass out,’ and he says, ‘Well, I’ll just shoot you then.’ I said, ‘Man, I’ll bring you the guns to shoot me!’”

According to Arenas, on Dec. 21, 2009 they met up in the locker room later and he laid out four guns for Crittenton to choose from to shoot him. Crittenton allegedly whipped out his own loaded gun and aimed it at Arenas' head.

The situation was diffused quickly, but both players were suspended for the rest of the season. Arenas had to serve two years of probation for having an unregistered firearm, while Crittenton was convicted of the 2011 shooting of an Atlanta woman and currently is serving a 23-year sentence.

The latter part of Arena's story matches the original version Arenas told police after the incident.
