Esports stars are pairing with NBA All-Stars, NFL playmakers and big-time celebrities in a Fornite celebrity pro-am in Los Angeles with millions of dollars going to charity.
Paul George headlines the list of athletes picking up a set of joysticks, with Bears running back Tarik Cohen, Pistons guard Reggie Jackson, boxer Tyron Woodley and MMA fighter Demetrius Johnson also getting in on the action.
George has been known to play Fortnite online with strangers, while Cohen is an admitted addict of the survival game.
The winning pro-am pair gets $1 million to split among charities of its choice.
As noted in the release, the $3 million in prize money for the pro-am will not come from the $100,000,000 Epic Games is using to fund Fortnite competitions around the country.
Epic Games will live stream the pro-am at 6:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 12.
