Elfrid Payton may be ready to play again, and Anthony Davis couldn't be more excited.
According to Nola.com, Davis predicted the Pelicans getting their starting point guard in a locker room exchange, but now New Orleans has made the information public.
Elfrid Payton is probable.

After last nights game in the locker room as Elfrid was leaving, Anthony Davis said, “I’m getting my dawg back.”
AD knew. Now we know. Elfrid will be back very soon. https://t.co/JCqREsxfHT
Payton has only played in six games this season, averaging 9.7 points, 5.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds. He initially missed games because of a lingering ankle injury, but a separate issue with his finger prolonged his absence.
The sample size is small, but New Orleans has been at its best with Payton in the lineup.
The Pelicans play the Timberwolves Monday at 8 p.m. ET in New Orleans. Whether or not Payton suits up remains to be seen.
