Heat guard Dwyane Wade revealed earlier this week that he wants an ownership role in the NBA as part of his next move.

Wade said earlier this month that he's still unsure whether he will play in the 2018-19 season, but he told Bloomberg that when it's time to retire, he wants to join an ownership group.

"I definitely want to be a part of ownership in the NBA. I'm not going to try to buy a team. I don't have that kind of bread, but I definitely want to be a part of a great ownership group. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is all about players being involved in an ownership capacity.

"You've got players like Grant Hill involved in the Atlanta Hawks. Shaquille O'Neal is involved in the Sacramento Kings. It's definitely something that I've talked about, some of my friends have talked about. But, first of all, I’d have to be retired. When that time comes..."

As for what team Wade wants to be a part of in an ownership role? He wants to bring back Seattle SuperSonics, who relocated to Oklahoma City following the 2007-08 season and are now known as the Thunder.

"I want Seattle's team, the Sonics, to come back," he said. "I think Seattle is a great basketball town. I would love to be a part of that."

In 15 seasons, Wade has earned three titles, one NBA Finals MVP and 12 All-Star Game appearances.
