An MRI exam of Warriors forward Draymond Green’s left knee showed no structural damage, ESPN.com reported Thursday, citing league sources.

Green landed awkwardly on the leg as he was fouled in the third quarter of Tuesday’s opener against the Rockets.

He stayed in the game to take the free throws but soon left and didn’t return because of what the team described as a knee strain.

Afterward, he told reporters, “I'll be good. I'm fine."

Coach Steve Kerr said Wednesday (via CSN Bay Area) that Green, who didn't practice, wouldn't return to the Warriors lineup until he’s able, though Kerr sounded optimistic about Green's chances of playing this weekend.

Golden State plays Friday at New Orleans, Saturday at Memphis and Monday at Dallas.
