Pelicans star forward DeMarcus Cousins was helped off the court in obvious pain Friday with just seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

According to Yahoo Sports, it is believed Cousins has a torn Achilles tendon. The team will confirm with an MRI

Cousins, already had a triple-double (15 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists) before the injury, but he could be facing a lengthy absence.

The Pelicans held on to beat the Rockets 115-113 at home, handing Houston its first loss this season when James Harden, Chris Paul, and Clint Capela were all in the starting lineup (19-1).

While New Orleans will take the win, all eyes will be on the training room as the extent of Cousins' leg injury is assessed.
