Stephen Curry was fined $50,000 for throwing his mouthpiece in the direction of a game official during the final minute of Saturday's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, the NBA announced.

The Golden State Warriors guard tossed his mouthpiece toward an official when no foul was called as he drove to the hoop for a layup.

He was immediately ejected but said after the game he was not trying to intentionally throw it at the official.

"I got better aim than that. I threw it out of frustration," he said.

As part of the same incident, Warriors forward Andre Iguodala was fined $15,000 for verbally abusing a game official.

The Warriors were called for three technical fouls on the night while there were a combined 54 fouls between the two teams. The Warriors were called for 28 of those fouls and 26 were called on the Grizzlies.

Curry finished the night with 37 points on nine-of-17 shooting.
