Creighton guard Khyri Thomas announced Sunday that he plans to hire an agent and remain in the NBA Draft process.

Thomas, who initially declared for the draft in early April, had one year of collegiate eligibility remaining.

Thomas earned second-team All-Big East honors after averaging 15.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game on a Creighton team that went 21-12 last season. He was also named the conference’s 2018 Defensive Player of the Year.

Thomas knocked down 40.6 percent of his 3-point attempts over his three-year career at Creighton.

"I'm thrilled for Khyri as he moves on to the next stage of his career," Creighton coach Greg McDermott said in a press release. "His selfless approach to the game, positive attitude and tireless work ethic has been a joy to be around the last three years. It has been an honor to be part of his development during that time."

Thomas is projected to be picked 23rd overall by the Pacers in Sporting News’ latest NBA mock draft.
