Raptors coach Dwane Casey won the Coach of the Year Award, but the more notable story that came out of it was the fact that Celtics coach Brad Stevens did not receive a single vote from his peers.

The Michael H. Goldberg National Basketball Coaches Association's Coach of the Year Award is voted on by the league's 30 coaches and although eight coaches received votes, Stevens wasn't one of them. Despite how others around the NBA community responded to the snub, Stevens took the high road and didn't seem surprised at all.

"The way that thing works is you get one vote. And I'm telling you, I looked at the sheet and there's no way that I would have voted for me over any of the other 29 people," Stevens said, via ESPN.com . "And the guy that should have won got it. And the other guys that got votes, they're unbelievable. I'm stealing from those guys all the time. It's so incredible to have an opportunity to be one of 30."

Houston's Mike D'Antoni, Indiana's Nate McMillan, San Antonio's Gregg Popovich, LA Clippers' Doc Rivers, Utah's Quin Snyder and Portland's Terry Stotts were among those who received at least one vote, but former Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas was quick to send Stevens some support.

Celtics swingman Evan Turner also shared, "That's crazy...only in America!" He added, "Not a single coach of the year vote but yet he's headed to the conference finals."

The Celtics defeated the 76ers in Game 5 on Wednesday, winning 114-112. Boston closed out the series 4-1 and will face the Cavaliers in the conference finals.
