Carmelo Anthony is headed to Houston, finally.

According to Yahoo Sports, Anthony has verbally agreed to sign with the Rockets after spending the entire offseason linked with the team.

Anthony was traded to the Hawks by the Thunder last month, but cleared waivers to become a free agent. He will now try to help James Harden and Chris Paul overtake the Warriors out West.

The Rockets have been busy this offseason, re-signing Paul and Clint Capela to massive contracts. Anthony may be past his best form, but he is still a major coup for a franchise that nearly made the NBA Finals last season.

Anthony, 34, averaged a career-low 16.2 points last season while shooting 40 percent from the field. He may have to come to terms with a smaller role in Houston, possibly even off the bench.
