Nets forward Caris LeVert suffered a gruesome leg injury in mid-November but he's already back on the hardwood.

The Michigan product was having a breakout year until he dislocated his right foot against the Timberwolves. The injury looked much more severe than it actually was and, according to Nets coach Kenny Atkinson, LeVert is already shooting in preparation for his return.

Before hurting his foot, LeVert was averaging 18.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Brooklyn is 10-18 and it actually isn't far from the playoff hunt.

The Nets have young talent in D'Angelo Russell, Jarrett Allen and Spencer Dinwiddie, but LeVert has been their top scoring option this season. Brooklyn won't rush him back, but his teammates will be happy to know he is taking big steps towards returning to the lineup.
