Wendell Carter Jr. believes Duke forward Zion Williamson will thrive in the NBA.

Williamson made his collegiate debut earlier this week and scored 28 points in the Blue Devils’ 118-84 win over Kentucky. Carter, the former Blue Devils big man who is now a rookie with the Bulls, was asked about Williamson’s performance Thursday.

“He was unreal,’’ Carter said (via the Chicago Sun-Times). “It wasn’t fair.

“(Williamson’s) game is going to translate perfectly (to the NBA) ... He’s very explosive, he’s very quick and he has a very large frame. That’s very rare. Not many people can guard that.”

Carter was selected by Chicago out of Duke with the seventh pick in the 2018 draft. He has averaged 11.6 points and 7.9 rebounds in his first 12 NBA games.

The Bulls have opened the season with a 3-9 record.
