Besiktas continue winning streak, Tenerife thump Mornar

Besiktas extended their winning start to the season with a 77-62 victory over Partizan, while Tenerife thumped Mornar 103-57 to move to 2-0 in the Basketball Champions League.

Besiktas have begun the Turkish Basketball Super League campaign with three wins from as many matches, and they continued that form to join AEK Athens at the top of Group E.

Michael Roll scored 16 points and supplied four assists for the Turkish side, inflicting Partizan's first defeat of the season after eight matches in all competitions.

Tenerife lost their first Liga ACB match this term to Unicaja at the weekend, but responded by coming out on top against Mornar in emphatic fashion, Carl English's 22-point haul including six of seven from three-point range.

Avtodor Saratov were the first team to surpass the 100-barrier, though, as they hammered Kataja Basket 113-84 at the Kristall Arena

Juventus Utena defeated Oostende 69-59 for a second win of the competition, a feat matched by Monaco and Nymburk, who left Helios Suns and Ironi Nahariya searching for their maiden victories.

Szolnoki Olaj bounced back from defeat to AEK Athens last time out by beating Dinamo Sassari by a one-point margin, while Stelmet Zielona Gora and Aris also triumphed.

There were victories for Banvit and Sidigas Avellino in their respective fixtures against Fraport Skyliners and SIG Strasbourg.
