Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer has been suspended one game without pay for making contact with an official during the 135-130 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, the NBA has announced.
Budenholzer was irate with referee Brian Forte and bumped into him with two minutes and 42 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
The reason for his anger? LeBron James appeared to push off the Hawks' Kent Bazemore, dropping him to the court on his back without a whistle.
Budenholzer also made contact with an official last season, again in a match against the Cavs.
As a result, Budenholzer will not be on the sideline when the Hawks take on the Pacers on Sunday.
