Darryl Strawberry says he and Dwight Gooden are back on good terms

Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry apparently are on friendly terms again.

The former Mets and Yankees teammates were embroiled in a reported feud last summer, after Strawberry said Gooden was back on drugs, but on Sunday Strawberry posted photos on his Instagram account that showed the two smiling and apparently in good spirits together.

Strawberry's accompanying caption read, in part: “Truly grateful for awesome friends bringing me and Doc Gooden back together talking about the real friendship and what life is all about. … Today was real healing for me and Doc … God is crazy about people!!! Forgiveness is so we can be made well inside ourselves and God can get all the glory ... Blessings!! Always trust God. Proverbs: 3:5-6”

Only weeks ago, Gooden, 52, said at Mets camp in Florida that he and Strawberry, 55, hadn't spoken since August, when Strawberry called him “a complete junkie-addict” after Gooden didn't show up for an appearance, the New York Daily News reported.

The two avoided each other at a charity event in September in New York, according to the Daily News, presumably the last time they were in the same place at the same time before the photos posted Sunday were taken.
