Pemain beregu negara, Goh V Shem, mengakui kesibukan menyertai beberapa acara pasca sambutan Sukan Olimpik Rio telah menjejaskan fokusnya untuk mempamerkan aksi terbaik, namun berjanji akan bangkit di Terbuka Denmark dan Perancis minggu hadapan.
Selepas Olimpik Rio, pasangan beregu negara tampak bergelut untuk mencapai kemuncak prestasi mereka.
Tewas dalam pusingan kedua Terbuka Jepun dan gagal mara ke peringkat akhir di Terbuka Korea Selatan, bulan lalu, V Shem tidak menafikan hakikat persembahan dia bersama pasangannya, Tan Wee Kiong, longlai.
Justeru Denmark dan Perancis minggu hadapan menjadi medan terbaik buat mereka bangkit, sekali gus membuktikan mereka masih lagi beregu sandaran negara.
"Selepas Sukan Olimpik, kami menghadiri banyak majlis.
"Justeru, masa latihan kami agak padat. Saya harap selepas ini kami dapat fokus dengan lebih baik," kata pemain beregu lelaki itu.
Dalam pada itu, V Shem menjelaskan fokus dia dan Wee Kiong lebih tertumpu untuk mengumpul mata bagi mengukuhkan lagi kedudukan mereka ke Super Series Akhir.
V Shem dan Wee Kiong dalam kedudukan terbaik apabila berada di ranking ketujuh dengan mengutip keseluruhan 64,617 mata untuk layak ke Dubai.
"Keyakinan mesti ada tapi kami perlu kekalkan pungutan mata sebab beregu muda pun sedang memburu mata."
