Set pertama memihak kepada Jun Hui-Yun Chen 21-19, namun V Shem-Wee Kiong bangkit untuk mengheret perlawanan ke set penentuan, sebelum tewas dengan keputusan 17-21, 21-19.
"Permainan hari ini dianggap bagus tapi pencabar kami kali ini lebih konsisten daripada kami.
"Saya harap selepas kejohanan ini, kami dapat mengenal pasti lagi masalah kami," kata Wee Kiong.
Kekecewaan itu kembali ditebus pasangan beregu campuran negara, Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying.
Meskipun goyah di awal permainan, mereka bertahan dan menunjukkan semangat juang tinggi untuk memenangi set pertama 23-21.
Dalam set kedua, mereka dengan mudah menjinakkan lawan, Wang Wilyu-Huang Dong Ping 21-14.
"Pada awalnya, kami masih belum membaca rentak lawan kami sehinggalah pada saat-saat akhir set pertama.
"Jadi, kami mengekalkan corak yang sama selepas itu untuk menewaskan mereka," ujar Liu Ying.
