With the best Asian players gathering in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, this week, will the upcoming table tennis action top the showing in Wuxi, China, two years ago? Japanese player Miu Hirano memorably stunned the home crowd by emerging victorious in the women's singles. while South Korea's Jeong Sangeun reached the men's singles final where he lost to Fan Zhendong, ending a decade-long run of only Chinese players contesting the final at the same time.

BWF World Tour: China Open

The final Super 1000 event of the year is set to feature the who's who of the badminton world, and for Malaysia, who have only been victorious in China four times since 1986, they could not ask for a tougher start for most of their shuttlers. The likes of Lee Zii Jia (men's singles), Soniia Cheah (women's singles), Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik (men's doubles) and Chow Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean (women's doubles) are handed seeded opponents in the first round.

UCL: Paris Saint-Germain vs Real Madrid

Laver Cup

The Laver Cup is back for the third time, and it could potentially be the most one-sided edition. John McEnroe's Team World, consisting the likes of John Isner, Milos Raonic and Nick Kyrgios, face Bjorn Borg's Team Europe featuring seven of the top 11 men's singles players in the world, including Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev.

STL: ATM Guardians vs Penang Black Panthers

In a showdown between last year's top two sides of the Sepak Takraw League, league leaders ATM Guardians have a chance to extend their unbeaten start to the 2019 season and, at the same time, pile more pressure on the struggling Penang side, who have lost twice this season.

Serie A: AC Milan vs Inter Milan

F1: Singaporean Grand Prix

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton has an opportunity to become the outright leading winner on the Marina Bay Street Circuit after matching Sebastian Vettel's record of four wins last year. Form-wise, the German is unlikely to edge ahead of Hamilton in Singapore, but his Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc, who has won the past two races since the summer break, could ensure the status quo remains.

Eredivisie: PSV Eindhoven vs Ajax

One of the biggest matches in the Dutch league arrives on Sunday as PSV and Ajax lock horns at the Philips Stadion. EPL: Chelsea vs Liverpool
