Akademi Badminton Perak (PBA) akan menganjurkan Kejohanan Badminton Remaja Tertutup Perak di Ipoh, hujung bulan ini.
Menurut Setiausaha Kehormat Persatuan Badminton Perak, Mohamed Zambri Bahari, kejohanan ini susulan daripada objektif akademi untuk memanjangkan lagi legasi sukan ini di Perak.
"Kejohanan pelbagai kategori untuk remaja ini adalah sebahagian daripada idea persatuan badminton negeri dan akademi bBadminton ini menjadi pelaksana pencarian bakat baru.
"Bulan ini pula dilihat masa paling sesuai kerana tidak bertembung dengan waktu persekolahan, malah peserta mempunyai masa untuk membuat persediaan. Jika berpotensi, mereka akan diserapkan ke dalam akademi agar bakat mereka boleh ditingkatkan lagi," katanya.
Tambahnya lagi, undian akan dibuat pada 24 Disember dan sesiapa warga Perak yang berminat dan berkelayakan masih sempat mendaftar.
Perlawanan akan dilangsungkan di Akademi Badminton Perak di Ipoh pada 30 dan 31 Disember 2016.
