Presiden Persatuan Badminton Malaysia (BAM), Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria, berkata pemain profesional perlu menandatangani perjanjian bersama BAM bagi memastikan badan induk itu tidak terpalit dengan apa jua aktiviti salah laku.
"Setiap pemain profesional bermula 2019 perlu menandatangani kontrak bersama BAM bagi memastikan BAM tidak terlibat dengan sebarang aktiviti salah laku apabila menjalani pertandingan di dalam serta luar negara," kata Norza.
BAM juga menerusi Mesyuarat Agung Luar Biasa (EGM) hari ini meluluskan pindaan kepada perlembagaan, khususnya kedudukan setiausaha kehormat kini digelar setiausaha agung.
Terdahulu, turut berlangsung majlis ikrar bebas rasuah membabitkan BAM serta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM).
Pemain beregu lelaki, Soh Wooi Yik, mewakili barisan pemain dan jurulatih melafazkan bacaan ikrar yang turut disaksikan Timbalan Ketua Pengarah Operasi SPRM, Datuk Seri Azam Baki.
