Malaysia will take on traditional rivals Indonesia in the quarter-finals of the 2018 Thomas Cup on Thursday.
The draw took place after Lee Chong Wei and Co. lost a close match to defending champions Denmark, who will face South Korea, in their final Group D match in Bangkok, Thailand.
As for other Thomas Cup quarter-final matches, China will fight Chinese Taipei, and 2014 winners Japan will battle it out with France.
Malaysia last faced their Southeast Asian neighbours at the Thomas Cup in 2014, when they emerged with a 3-0 victory en route to the final.
In all competitions, their last meeting was at the 2017 SEA Games, which saw the Malaysia men's team, featuring the likes of Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin and Lee Zii Jia, lose 0-3 in the final.
If Malaysia overcome Indonesia in their match, which is scheduled to begin at 8:00pm (Malaysia time) on Astro CH821 and CH822, they will take on the winners of the China-Chinese Taipei match.
Meanwhile, for the 2018 Uber Cup, the quarter-finals will see defending champions China take on Denmark, Japan versus Chinese Taipei, South Korea against Canada, and a Southeast Asian showdown between Indonesia and Thailand.
