Peserta Kem Badminton Astro 2017 mempamerkan kualiti yang cukup baik dan mula menunjukkan peningkatan selepas hampir seminggu menjalani latihan di Tokyo, Jepun.
Seramai 29 peserta dari Malaysia dan Indonesia dikumpulkan bagi menjalani latihan intensif di Pusat Latihan Nasional Ajinomoto dan prestasi mereka bakal teruji esok oleh bakat muda dari Negara Matahari Terbit itu.
"Prestasi pemain dilihat tinggi. Kami mendapati persembahan pemain perempuan menyamai pemain Jepun," kata Pengarah Hal Ehwal Komuniti Astro, Datuk David Yap.
Sementara itu, ketua jurulatih Kem Badminton Astro, Chan Chong Ming, mengharapkan anak buahnya membuktikan hasil kunjungan mereka dengan berkata, "Semua pemain dari Malaysia dan Indonesia bersemangat tinggi selepas lima hari mengharungi sesi latihan keras.
"Mereka nampak segar. Saya harap mereka dapat memberikan aksi terbaik dalam perlawanan persahabatan esok."
