Hajat perseorangan wanita negara, Goh Jin Wei, untuk mara ke final ke Terbuka Thailand berkecai selepas kecundang kepada wakil tuan rumah yang juga pilihan ketiga Kejohanan, Busanan Ongbumrungpan 20-22, 13-21, petang tadi.
Jin Wei memperagakan aksi pantas dalam set pertama untuk mendahului lawan 18-15. Namun, kesilapan sendiri membolehkan Busanan menyamakan kedudukan dan seterusnya mendahului 20-19, sebelum menang set pertama 22-20.
Kebangkitan yang diharapkan daripada Jin Wei dalam set kedua bagaimanapun tidak menjadi apabila juara remaja dunia 2015 itu tampak keletihan.
Mata demi mata diberikan kepada Busanan yang mendahului 11-17 dan Jin Wei hanya mampu meraih dua mata lagi sebelum menyerah 13-21 dalam tempoh 49 minit kepada Busanan.
