Japan ended their 37-year Uber Cup drought after beating hosts Thailand 3-0 on Saturday.
The six-time winners reached the final after overcoming South Korea, while the Thais impressively downed defending champions China for their first ever appearance in the final.
Akane Yamaguchi kicked things off by avenging her 2018 Malaysia Masters defeat to Ratchanok Intanon by winning 21-15, 21-19.
Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota made it to 2-0 for Japan by claiming a 21-18, 21-12 victory over Jongkolpha Kititharakul and Puttita Supajirakul.
Nozomi Okuhara sealed the win by beating Nitchaon Jindapol 21-12, 21-9 in the third match-up.
On top of the Uber Cup success, Japan could become only the third country after China and Indonesia to win both the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup in a same year if their men's team emerge victorious in Sunday's Thomas Cup final against China.
The final is scheduled to start at 2pm on Asto CH817 and CH836.
