Pemain beregu wanita emas Sukan SEA 2015, Soong Fie Cho, menghadirkan berita gembira apabila kembali berlatih di atas gelanggang susulan kecederaan lutut serius sejak Februari lalu.
Kerjaya Fie Cho hampir musnah gara-gara kecederaan lutut kirinya ketika memburu tiket ke Sukan Olimpik Rio.
Bukan sahaja terlepas tiket ke Rio, Fie Cho juga terkilan tidak dapat membantu skuad Piala Uber negara di Kunshan, China.
Dia dan gandingannya, Amelia Alicia Anscelly, dianggap lambat matang sebagai pemain berkualiti -- masing-masing kini berusia 27 dan 28 tahun.
Selepas sesi latihan yang menguji fizikal dan mental di sebalik keperluan meneruskan fasa pemulihan, Fie Cho berkongsi perkembangan terkininya.
"Saya berasa kecewa dan sedih memikirkan kenapa saya yang tercedera. Saya rindu kesemuanya mengenai badminton.
"Sekarang, pergerakan saya semakin lancar, tapi saya masih berasa sedikit ketakutan, namun keadaan semakin pulih.
"Banyak yang saya terlepas. Tapi apa boleh buat, sekarang saya perlu berlatih dengan gigih untuk menghadapi kejohanan pada musim depan," katanya.
