Menanti Jhy Dar-Roy King dalam aksi separuh akhir adalah beregu Pulau Pinang, Ooi Zi Heng-Ameer Amri Zulkarnain, yang menang 21-18, 16-21, 21-18 ke atas Lim Tze Jian-Tan Ming Kang.
Acara perseorangan lelaki menyaksikan Faiz Rozain menempah tiket separuh akhir selepas mengalahkan Goh Wai Yap dalam aksi straight set 21-11, 21-12.
Kejutan disaksikan dalam acara perseorangan wanita dengan kekalahan pilihan pertama dari Pulau Pinang, Kong Yi Jin, 17-21, 9-21 di tangan Myisha Mohd Khairul (BAM).
Turut gagal ke separuh akhir ialah pilihan keempat, Tan Ming Er, yang tewas 10-21, 18-21 kepada Tan Zhing Yi.
Zhing Yu turut cemerlang dalam acara beregu apabila gandingannya bersama Gan Jing Err berjaya ke separuh akhir apabila mengatasi Lee Xin Jie-Ng May Yin 21-3, 17-21, 21-13.
