The Baltimore Ravens will have to work on Christmas Day, but that has not stopped Steve Smith from getting into the spirit of the season.
Smith will be hoping to help the Ravens emerge victorious in a crucial clash with their AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 25, as Baltimore battle to secure a playoff spot.
But Smith, one of the NFL's most outspoken and entertaining personalities, seemed particularly keen to bring some festivity to the pre-game build-up, appearing at a media session dressed as Buddy the Elf from the film Elf.
Wearing an all-green Elf onesie, Smith said: "This is a new one, I've got a whole bunch of them now. Free clothes, bro. Christmas is Sunday. So I think it's going to be festive. Trying to get festive."
The 37-year-old had a change of heart last year, deciding to play on after initially announcing that the 2015 season would be his last.
Maybe a career working in Santa's workshop beckons once he does decide to hang up his cleats.
